moments: a newsletter on money + movements

by Morgan Curtis, Social Justice Giving Coach

What’s inspiring me in the time of coronavirus

For those of us for whom money is not another source of worry in these times, let's send some the way of those who are facing loss of work / healthcare / hunger / eviction. I’m supporting POOR Magazine and their crucial and ongoing work supporting unhoused folks in the San Francisco Bay Area.

To move money directly to individuals in need, visit this national COVID-19 financial solidarity spreadsheet. Important to note that this is required because of the failure of our government and economic system to create real security and stability for US workers.

What I’m up to this month

I was planning on being at Resource Generation’s Transforming Philanthropy conference next weekend. Instead, I’m sheltering-in-place where I live at Canticle Farm, cooking for community and still doing coaching sessions for those redistributing wealth in these times.

I’ll be posting opportunities to move money to my Morgan Curtis, Social Justice Giving Coaching Facebook page regularly in the days ahead.

Who I am called to support

Do you know any young people with wealth who are wondering how to show up in this time of crisis? Who may be interested in moving past what had previously been holding them back from standing with communities that are struggling?

I encourage you to forward this email to them! And if it’s you, I’d love to talk. I’m grateful to be able to offer coaching support to folks who have resources to move in solidarity with those most affected by COVID-19.
